  • BC Lumber Trade Council to Vigorously Defend Industry Against U.S. Trade Challenge

    Susan Yurkovich, President of the BC Lumber Trade Council issued a statement Nov 28th commenting on the trade actions initiated by the U.S. lumber lobby:
    “The BC Lumber Trade Council will vigorously defend the industry against these new trade actions. While we are not surprised by the filing of petitions today by the U.S. lumber lobby, as they have long advocated for limiting Canadian access to the U.S. lumber market, we are disappointed that once again we are in litigation rather than working cooperatively with the U.S. industry to grow the market for wood products in North America.

  • Bombardier Global 7000 Aircraft Successfully Completes First Flight

    Bombardier Business Aircraft announced that its segment-defining Global 7000 aircraft program completed the successful maiden flight of its first flight test vehicle (FTV1). This first flight marks the start of a flight test program for the newest member of Bombardier’s flagship Global aircraft family, which is scheduled to enter into service in the second half of 2018.

  • McCloskey Washing Systems Debut At Open Day In Dundalk

    McCloskey Washing Systems (MWS) held its first open event, at Readymix Concrete Ltd, Carlingford, Co. Louth on Thursday 3rd November 2016, highlighting their exciting new Washing and Classifying equipment for both quarrying and construction applications. With more than 100 customers and dealers present throughout Europe and North America, this truly was an international affair. The S190 Mobile Rinser and CSP150 Sand Classifying plant were demonstrated and previewed in quarry, at Brian McSloy’s Cooley plant.

    ShearForce Equipment and RUBBLE MASTER partnered to host a one-day live demo on Oct. 21 in Abbotsford, BC, Canada.

    BC contractors got a first-hand look at the latest in crushing and demolition technology. Hydraulic excavator attachment and mobile crushing equipment specialists ShearForce Equipment hosted their first ever Demo Day on Friday, October 21 in Abbotsford, BC. Guests were invited to see first-hand and test out the latest in crushing and demolition equipment technologies. The RUBBLE MASTER RM90 GO! mobile impact crusher was prominently featured on-site, producing ¾” minus material from recycled concrete while being operated using a wireless remote control from the cab of the loading excavator. Add-on accessories including a refeed system for oversized pieces, mesh screening deck, and magnetic rebar separator were fully utilized as well to show the capabilities of the fuel-efficient compact recycling machine.
