Dynapac introduces the newly designed D17 C commercial paver, successor to its FC1700 C.

The All-New Commercial Paver D17 C From Dynapac

With standard paving width of 8ft to 15.5 ft, the D17 C is ideal for medium to large parking lots and county roads. With the optional bolt on extensions the paver can pave up to 18 ft wide. The key enhancements to its predecessor include direct drive 16kW generator to the engine along with fail-safe heat management system for increased efficiency and reliability. The newly designed proportional Auger Conveyor system further increases flexibility to control the material flow to the screed.

Built to Last with Heavy Duty Components
Dynapac’ s entire product range is built on the principle of “Designed to Perform and Built to Last” and D17 C follows the same principle. From heavy duty structural component design to rebuildable wear components the paver is designed for maximum life. Thanks to smart design on bolted conveyor floor plates, segmented auger flights and screed plates the entire wear parts are designed for easy replacement and rebuildable time and time again.

Unique Feed System That Offers Excellent Paving Results in Narrow or Wide Widths
Dynapac Quad Auger system is a unique design which includes screed mounted augers on both main and extensions. This allows the material to feed with a smoother process whether pavement width of 8 ft or 15.5 ft without needing lot of manual work to get the material to the wider paving widths.

The independent conveyor system along with reversible conveyor capability allows for ease of operating while paving and eliminating material spill on to the ground when transporting the paver between the jobsites.
The proportional feed system offers precise control of the head of material in front the screed. Operators can personalize various material pile height settings as needed for the job from the display and simplify the paving process.

Strong VF0816 Screed for Best-in-Class Mat Quality
Dynapac D17 C paver is paired with VF0816 front extension screed for high quality paving results. Weighing at 4,500 lbs, VF0816 screed is the heaviest in its class providing unbeatable pre-compaction.

D17 C screed heating is the next level technology for commercial class pavers. Newly designed direct drive 3 phase 16 kw engine mounted generator increasing the efficiency and reducing the heat up time. The heating system includes multi zone heat monitoring for even temperature across the entire width of the screed. The reliability of the heat control system is further enhanced by having redundant sensors combined with smart fail-safe heat management technology.

Simplified Paving Combined with Premium Standard Features, Boosting Jobsite Confidence
The Dynapac D17 C paver is designed for simplicity in operation. The dual fully functional consoles carry all needed functions for both tractor and screed. The 2-operator set up comes as standard and optionally customers can choose road crew kit (3-operator set) up which will include raised operator platform and screed remotes.  The layout of the console is based on the frequency of use and functionality enables experienced or new operators to easily adapt and perform.

Dynapac D17 C provides added value for customers by providing all the necessary premium functions as standard reducing the investment costs later and increases the readiness to tackle demanding job site needs for operators. The screed features include auto screed temperature control, hydraulic crown, hydraulic sloping extensions, hydraulic match height, heated end gate. The tractor features include hydraulic auto track tension, hydraulic tow points, automatic proportional feed system.

Increased Productivity with Extra Reserve Capacity
The D17 C paver carries plenty of extra reserve power to tackle demanding job site conditions. On the power pack side there is up to 20% more power available with 120 hp engine and with 14 in track pads the tractive effort is increase by additional 20% as well. Pushing a truck on steep hill on a housing project or emptying a large truck quickly to complete the paving job on a county road is easily achieved with the extra reserve capacity.
