Canada Cartage Expands Services In Ottawa And Eastern Ontario With The Acquisition Of City Transfer

Canada Cartage, the country’s largest asset-based fleet outsourcing provider, announced today the acquisition of Ottawa-based carrier City Transfer. City Transfer provides same-day transportation, dedicated transportation, 3rd-party logistics, warehousing, and call cartage work in Canada and the U.S.A.

Canada Cartage has signed on virtually all former City Transfer employees in order to continue the great service they provide to their customers. Owner and General Manager Val Milio will be staying on with the business for a number of months to ensure a smooth transition to Canada Cartage. The rest of the City Transfer senior management team have accepted new positions with the company.

The acquisition will strengthen Canada Cartage’s services to customers in the Ontario, and provides additional capacity and service capabilities in truckload and less-than-truckload work.
