Feb 1, 2022 - 3 years ago

Canada Cartage, one of the country’s largest transportation and logistics providers, has announced the acquisition of Laurentien Transport, based out of Bois-des-Filion, Quebec.

Founded in 1960, Laurentien is a dedicated contract transportation provider that specializes in refrigerated freight services to large, well-known brands in grocery, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and retail sectors.

Canada Cartage President & CEO Jeff Lindsay stated that “Laurentien’s dedicated contract transportation service offerings and customer base are a tremendous fit with Canada Cartage. Both companies focus on providing essential products to Canadians through our partnerships with some of the largest retailers in the country. This acquisition also significantly increases Canada Cartage’s scale and service capabilities in Quebec. We’re really excited about how our two companies can continue our growth in the province.”

Alain Bouchard, General Manager of Laurentien added that “we see a strong cultural fit with Canada Cartage, who share our approach towards building strong, long-lasting customer partnerships with a focus on outstanding customer service.”

This transaction is the fifth acquisition for Canada Cartage over the past 12 months, as the company continues to grow in dedicated fleet services, as well as e-commerce fulfillment and home delivery.
