CASE Enhances Dozer Lineup

Apr 10, 2023 - 2 years ago

CASE Construction Equipment has announced a wave of new enhancements for its 650M through 850M dozers designed to increase reliability, operator performance, machine responsiveness and overall experience.

The manufacturer has also announced the launch of its CASE TrackCare Undercarriage Monitoring Program — available through the North American CASE dealer network — that collects undercarriage measurements and observations in the field and then correlates that data into manageable/actionable information to plan maintenance activities, monitor performance and make decisions to help manage the performance and costs of the undercarriage.

CASE TrackCare is not limited to CASE dozers — it can be applied to steel-tracked machines of all makes, models and product categories.

“Sometimes the biggest advances are the ones that seem the simplest,” says Jeremy Dulak, product manager, CASE Construction Equipment. “On the dozer line itself, we’ve focused on system improvements that increase overall reliability of the machine and enhance the operator experience. CASE TrackCare delivers a whole new service for dozers and steel-tracked machines of all shapes and sizes that will significantly improve the life, performance and total cost of ownership of those machines.”

Enhanced Hydraulic and Electrical Systems Headline CASE 650M-850M Dozers at CONEXPO
CASE 650M, 750M and 850M dozers have all been enhanced with newly rerouted hydraulics to improve reliability and minimize leaks, and an updated electrical system and routing with a newly braided harness that increases overall reliability. Additional updates throughout all three models include additional new robust latches, new LED lights for greater visibility, and a new rearview camera with in-cab display that improves total operator awareness and visibility.

Large-scale enhancements have been made to the 750M and 850M dozers, including new electrohydraulic control performance that allows the operator to set steering and shuttle settings to smooth, moderate or aggressive to better dial that machine into the preferences of the operator while simultaneously reducing operator fatigue. CASE Universal Machine Control is now also available with these machines, which allows them to be outfitted with machine control solutions from any of the three major suppliers of precision construction technology. Each dozer is also available with factory fit solutions from Leica Geosystems that simplify the ordering and setup process.

“These dozers are already extremely agile and compact, and now we’ve made significant enhancements that put the operator first, will improve uptime, and will ultimately make each of these CASE dozers more dynamic and profitable on the jobsite,” says Dulak.

CASE TrackCare Simplifies and Modernizes Undercarriage Management
Another major CASE introduction at CONEXPO is CASE TrackCare, an undercarriage monitoring program performed by CASE dealers for all makes, models and types of steel-tracked equipment that uses both ultrasonic and traditional undercarriage measuring tools to centralize, analyze and report out on undercarriage health and performance. CASE TrackCare matches a cloud-based system with a mobile app to collect undercarriage measurements and observations in the field and formulate this data into actionable information. This enables business owners and fleet managers to plan maintenance activities, monitor performance and make decisions to help manage the performance and costs of an undercarriage, which is often more than 50 percent of the lifetime maintenance costs of the machine.

CASE TrackCare is performed by CASE dealers and gives easy access to data and reporting that allows fleet managers to identify maintenance needs ahead of time, identify improper operation or unusual wear patterns, and ultimately keep the lifetime owning and operating costs of that asset down.

“The system allows you to easily take and record undercarriage measurements, take and store pictures for reference, as well as input information on operating practices, recommended repairs, and other jobsite or application data,” says Tim Hansen, product marketing for undercarriage and ground engaging tools, CASE Construction Equipment. “The system calculates wear rates and provides total undercarriage data that allows you to plot trends in wear, service and replacement rates. This information helps you optimize the uptime of tracked machines and get the most out of its service life.”

“And because the system works on all steel-tracked machines, from dozers to excavators, it allows your local CASE dealer to be your one-stop shop for total lifecycle undercarriage management, monitoring and service across your whole fleet — making your life easier and ensuring fleet-wide undercarriage strength and performance.”
