Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation announced that it will provide key wind power technologies to Guodian United Power Technology Company Ltd. Guodian is among Eaton’s major wind energy customers in China, and the agreement will generate approximately USD $1.5 million in revenues annually for Eaton.

“This important new business with Guodian demonstrates Eaton’s capabilities as a major provider of wind power hydraulics and reinforces our position as the company that leading wind turbine manufacturers are turning to the most for hydraulics expertise,” said Howard Liu, general manager of Eaton’s Hydraulics Group in Greater China. “Eaton’s expansion in the wind power business is consistent with our commitment to renewable energy sources and the value we place on environmental sustainability.”

Eaton’s Hydraulics Group based in Shanghai will supply hydraulic power units equipped with Vickers® and Integrated Hydraulics™ screw-in cartridge valves for yaw and shaft braking functions on Guodian wind turbines produced in Hebei Province. Eaton will also supply Aeroquip® MatchMate Plus® hose and Winner fittings for braking system functions.

In addition to supplying quality products to the foremost wind energy companies in China, Eaton offers customers power unit design capabilities, local production expertise, technical and application engineering support and one-stop customer care championed by senior leadership.
