In the early 1960’s Nories purchased a Washington TL 15 log loader.

Nories’ were to redesign this machine. With the help of Fauchon Engineering and Welding they did that. I can remember going with my Dad to meetings at Fauchons office. Fauchons was where the Finning building is today in Campbell River.

Nories started this project at Elk Bay. Meanwhile their logging operations were switched to Port Neville.

I can remember being with Dad when he was trying to get it to move under its own power. The only things left were the tracks, the engine and winches.
