Quality Equipment when you need it

In 1979 owner Len Chalupa launched Arrow-West with a focus on providing quality machinery and attachments. This independent dealer prides itself on being flexible and adaptable to meet the ever-growing and changing needs of its customers. “We will access the globe to find what’s needed to ensure our customers have what they need to get the job done. We will even act as a broker when needed,” shares Bill Briggs, General Manager.

Kyle, who started in the yard years ago, has been working his way up to sales, including stints as forklift operator and yard foreman uses his knowledge collected in the yard to assist our customers with electronic sales.

You Can’t Sell off An Empty Shelf

Chalupa has built his business from the initial industrial site in Edmonton, to the 10+ acre yard now situated in Acheson, where over 4000 attachments, machines, and the parts needed to keep them all in top quality condition are stocked onsite.

“We believe in having inventory when you need it, not weeks or months from now,” says Briggs. “This is one of the key factors that sets us apart from other dealers.”

Machines and Attachments available for rent

Another factor, is the generous rental program. This accommodates a variety of needs, including short-term jobs, and exploring machine/attachment fit for new work environments. “If you rent from us, and the machine and/or attachment isn’t right for the work you’re doing, you can return it without penalty and try something new. If you’ve leased that equipment, it’s under contract and your options are more limited,” explains Briggs.

Experience matters

Finally, and most valuable, is the knowledge and experience of the team. Collectively, the sales team alone has decades of industry experience, which allows them to confidently support their customers with the right equipment, attachments and parts.

The team is a family, with long careers in the industry and at Arrow-West specifically. Many of the people who work here, started with entry level positions and have moved within the company due to supported training and encouragement from the management team.
