More Lifting Power For Alberta

The 400-tonne crane will be the most powerful crane in the fleet and will be used in north-west Alberta and north-east British Columbia – including in wind farms and in the oil and gas industry.

Two new mobile cranes for J.D.A. Cranes from Alberta – at Bauma, Liebherr sales colleagues and the Canadian customer are delighted.

“The LTM 1400-6.1 is clearly the new highlight in our fleet – and will be the largest crane in our region,” says Jarvis Dawson, Owner of J.D.A. With its 70-metre telescopic boom, modern Y-guying system and simple set-up, the six-axle crane is ideally equipped for challenging projects.

The LTM 1160-5.2 is not an unfamiliar crane type for the company. It is will be the fourth machine J.D.A’s fleet. “We know this crane very well and know what we have in it – it is versatile, efficient and ideal for use as a taxi crane,” explains Jarvis. J.D.A. has been active in the crane and heavy-haul haul business since 1986 and currently operates twelve cranes and around 300 other pieces of equipment. With the two new additions, the company is continuing its growth and further expanding its position as a regional heavy-duty specialist.
