Liebherr exhibited in excess of 50,000 sq. ft. at Conexpo Con/Agg 2017 to demonstrate the latest technology in the construction industry. The main display area served as a platform to showcase construction equipment including exhibits from the product ranges of hydraulic excavators, wheel loaders, crawler loaders and dozers, deep foundation equipment, material handlers, tower cranes, mobile and crawler cranes and concrete pumps.
Over 35 construction machines and components displayed on more than 50,000ft² of exhibit space
A world premiere and one of the highlights at the Liebherr outdoor booth was the newly developed product range of rough-terrain cranes. Additionally, Liebherr presented a variety of new technology and product introductions like the new compact swing crawler excavator, the brand new RL56 pipelayer and the innovative XPower driveline featured on the large-size wheel loaders just to mention a few.
Liebherr housed performance components for mechanical, hydraulic and electrical drive, and control technology.
Rough terrain cranes extend product portfolio
• World premiére of newly developed Liebherr rough terrain cranes
• New models LRT 1090-2.1 and LRT 1100-2.1 were unveiled at Conexpo 2017
• Main development focus on high operation safety
Liebherr has extended its mobile crane product range with an additional series of rough-terrain cranes in the 100 USt (90 tonne) and 110 USt (100 tonne) classes. The LRT 1090-2.1 and LRT 1100-2.1 feature high performance, safety and comfort.
High safety levels in every respect were the main priority in the design of the new cranes. Both new crane models feature an outrigger monitoring system as standard. The support status, on tires or outriggers, is detected automatically and saved to the crane controller. The attachment of the ballast to the turntable and the installation of the optional double folding jib including its angle adjustment are also recorded and monitored.
The VarioBase variable support base developed by Liebherr as standard on the new LRT cranes makes an important contribution to enhancing safety. VarioBase also provides greater performance and flexibility on site.
Safety is also enhanced by providing greater comfort for crane operators. For example, the crane cab is 220 mm (8.5") wider than other standard cabs on the market. It can be tilted backwards to provide greater comfort when hoisting loads to great heights. Clear and intuitive controls make the crane easy to handle.
New LTM 1090-4.2 All-Terrain-Crane
• Economical all-rounder on four axles
• Global application: designed for variable axle loads
• Highest lifting capacities in the 4-axle crane class at 12-tonnes axle load
Liebherr unveiled an economical all-rounder all-terrain-crane on four axles at Conexpo 2017.
The new LTM 1090-4.2 mobile crane combines mobility, performance and economy in a superb package. The new 110 USt crane is suitable for global economical mobility as it offers axle loads of 10, 12, or 16 metric tonnes.
The LTM 1090-4.2 features a 60-metre (197 ft) telescopic boom, which amounts to an additional 10 metres (33 ft) compared to its predecessor LTM 1090-4.1. The new crane carries 8.8 tonnes (19,400 lbs.) of ballast with a 12-tonne axle load, 2.1 tonnes (4,600 lbs.) more than its predecessor. In this configuration, the LTM 1090-4.2 is currently the most powerful 4-axle crane on the market.
ECOdrive and ECOmode make the new 90-tonne (110 USt) crane particularly green with lower fuel consumption and noise emissions. Liebherr innovations VarioBallast and VarioBase also deliver improved performance, flexibility and safety for this new crane model.
