The Nors Manitowoc Mobile Crane coverage area also includes Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec. This strategic move strengthens Nors’ presence in the Canadian market, reinforces its position as a leading player in the heavy lifting and construction equipment sector, and reflects the company’s broader strategic commitment to expanding and consolidating its Crane business across Canada as the sole dealer in these territories. It marks another significant step in Nors’ long-term growth strategy in North America.

The agreement provides a major competitive advantage with the opening of a new facility in Surrey, expanding service, parts, supply and distribution to ensure greater proximity and responsiveness to customers. Operational continuity is secured by integrating new employees and existing inventory from the Acheson branches into this new location. In addition, new technicians will be hired to further strengthen service levels for Manitowoc mobile crane customers.

Since 2020, following the acquisition of what was then Strongco, Nors has been present in Canada by supplying equipment and solutions to key sectors such as construction and infrastructure, mining, oil & gas, waste management, forestry and municipal services, through the distribution of leading global brands including Volvo Construction Equipment, Manitowoc, Grove and others. This diversified presence highlights the strength of Nors’ portfolio and its ability to support evolving market needs with high-quality solutions.

“The acquisition of distribution rights for these crane brands in Canada further expands our territory and reinforces our long-term commitment to the region. We believe the reliability and innovation of these brands will play a vital role in supporting essential construction, infrastructure, and heavy industry projects, contributing to sustainable economic growth. Our focus remains on building strong relationships with the community and our partners, ensuring this investment delivers value for all,” said Francisco Ramos, COO of Nors and Head of the Construction Equipment business segment.
