Backsense heavy-duty radar proximity sensor systems are designed to detect objects in blind spots, significantly increasing site or on-road safety. They detect stationary and moving objects, providing the driver with in-cab visual and audible warnings. Backsense Radar sensors are available in fixed detection range models and fully programmable models allowing custom detection areas and the ability to calibrate-out fixed objects or bodywork.

Brigade’s 360-degree camera features cutting-edge AI-driven human form recognition (HFR), which is capable of identifying humans in vehicle blind spots. The intelligent camera system aids manoeuvrability by providing drivers with a complete 360-degree view of their vehicle in a single image. The system merges images from four cameras positioned around the vehicle and creates a 'bird's-eye view' of the vehicle and its surroundings, delivered to an in-cab monitor.

AI HFR cameras locate and recognize pedestrians within a pre-defined zone and reliably inform the driver visually and/or audibly of their presence. Algorithms train the system to recognize human beings and zone out other distractions, reducing false alarms and keeping ground workers in the vicinity safe.

Brigade’s award-winning Backeye360 has been a bestseller for the company since its launch.

For operators who prioritize safety but are concerned about the cost of adding AI systems to their vehicles, Brigade’s recently launched AI Human Form Recognition Box is the perfect solution, transforming existing vehicle camera systems into intelligent pedestrian detection solutions without the need to replace existing hardware and bridging the gap between traditional camera technology and AI safety systems.

“By enhancing our cameras with AI technology, we offer operators even greater assurance that they are using the safest solutions available," stated Warren Di Marco, CEO of Brigade Canada. "Our innovative systems not only keep drivers safe but also provide critical support. We understand the adverse weather conditions and rough terrain in which vehicles in the heavy equipment sectors operate and our products are built to withstand extreme temperatures and poor visibility.

“We hope to welcome as many people as possible to our stand at the Atlantic Heavy Equipment Show and look forward to demonstrating our state-of-the-art solutions which address the issues of heavy equipment operational safety," continued Di Marco.

Brigade will be attending Atlantic Heavy Equipment Show at the Moncton Coliseum, 377 Killam Drive, Moncton, NB E1C 3TI, Canada between March 26th and 27th. Find them at Booth 333.
