Velocity Truck Centres Expands Footprint With New Branch Opening In Kelowna, BC

Open on Monday, March 3, this milestone marks a significant investment in the region, reinforcing VTC’s commitment to delivering best-in-class truck sales, service, and support to its customers.

“This grand opening is more than just a new facility—it’s a testament to our dedication to innovation, sustainability, and the success of our customers in all they do,” said Tant Boothman, President of Velocity Truck Centres, Canada. “We are excited to welcome our customers, partners, and community members to experience our industry-leading services and advanced capabilities.”

The newly constructed 41,000-square-foot facility has been thoughtfully designed to meet the evolving needs of the trucking industry, incorporating innovative green technology solutions, including a Hydrogen and CNG-efficient repair bay, and an expanded infrastructure to support compressed natural gas (CNG) and other sustainable vehicle technologies.

“We are incredibly proud to have played a role in bringing this facility to life and to embark on a long-term partnership with Velocity Truck Centres,” said David Lopatka, President and CEO of RE Optimize. “The Kelowna dealership represents the future of the trucking industry—seamlessly integrating sustainable technologies, efficiency, and top-tier service. However, beyond the technology and infrastructure, it is the people—from the dedicated teams who built it to those who will operate it every day—who truly make the difference.”

Key Features of the New Velocity Truck Centres Kelowna Facility:

  • Enhanced Service Capabilities: 19 service bays, including a Hydrogen and CNG-efficient repair bay and wash bay, designed to accommodate a wide range of vehicles with minimal height restrictions.
  • Customer-Focused Amenities: A dedicated customer lounge and staging area to provide a comfortable and efficient service experience.
  • Expanded Parts Warehouse: A larger parts inventory, along with expanded shipping and receiving docks, ensuring faster service and parts availability.
  • Commitment to Sustainability: Integration of green technologies and energy-efficient systems to support a more sustainable future for the trucking industry. The facility is also equipped with an electric charging station for heavy duty trucks.

VTC has worked closely with the City of Kelowna and Kelowna International Airport (YLW) to ensure that the new facility aligns with the city’s vision for innovation and sustainability.

The new facility was designed and constructed in collaboration with industry-leading partners, including RE Optimize and Eagle Builders.

Dennis Haan, President of Eagle Builders, added, “We are grateful for the opportunity to bring Velocity Truck Centres’ vision to life. This facility is a perfect example of what can be achieved when industry leaders come together to drive innovation and community engagement.”
