Like most good ideas, this was borne out of necessity. One of Alf’s customers with a new Hitachi UH07 is working on an island where there is no lowbed service. The contractor can now move when he wants to — drive his unit up the ramp, in the tilt position. At the point of balance the deck will level off and lock in place. The ideal towing rig is a tandem gravel truck, which most contractors use. The LM20T tilt deck trailer has a 25 foot deck length, 20 ton capacity and is equipped with 4 wheel maxi brakes.

Editor’s Update: LeeMar Machinery is still in operation today, operating as Leemar Excavator Components Inc. in Parksville, BC, now an alternative OEM solution provider for major excavator parts. You can find them at leemarexcavatorparts.com.
