Designed entirely in-house, T-MAR’s hybrid drive system was engineered to drop into an existing Cypress 7280B, transforming the classic yarder into a modern, energy-efficient powerhouse.

The system combines a high-torque electric drive with a traditional diesel engine, capturing and reusing energy during operation to boost efficiency, cut fuel consumption, and lower emissions. This successful retrofit marks a major step toward T-MAR’s long-term vision—integrating hybrid technology into all future yarders—offering loggers a sustainable, cost-effective, and high-performance solution without sacrificing the pulling power and reliability the industry demands.
