New facility to support the Company's long-term sustainability commitment to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.

Univar Solutions Inc. (NYSE: UNVR) ("Univar Solutions" or "the Company"), a global chemical and ingredient distributor and provider of value-added services, announced today that it has begun construction on a new custom-designed facility in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada. The SAP-ready facility is expected to open during the first half of 2023 and aligns with the Company's long-term sustainability commitment to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. With the goal of offering energy efficient technology and compliance through the latest emission standards as well as innovative logistic and storage strengths, the facility will also include a whole-site tank telemetry system for real-time product inventory.

The new facility is expected to more strategically place Univar Solutions' products and services to deliver a streamlined and efficient experience. With larger chemical and ingredient storage as well as rail capacity and specially-designed blending rooms for solvents, corrosives and oxidizers, the facility is designed with the principles of the Company's sustainability commitments embedded throughout, which will help make blending more efficient, while reducing the risk of incidents through the latest engineering controls. With a state-of-the-art containment strategy helping to minimize impact to the environment while increasing safety, the facility is expected to set a new industry standard.
