Lode King Launches 2026 Renown Series Trailers

The Renown series from Lode King combines the strength of steel with the low maintenance and weight advantages of aluminum to form a lightweight and sturdy trailer.

These trailers are recognized as some of the best combo trailers on the road today.

The Renown series trailer has been the flagship trailer for Lode King for more than 20 years. It’s unique in the fact that it is comprised mostly of aluminum. The primary steel component in the Renown series trailer is the main rail.

Side Rails
The new side rail features an integrated load hook track, enabling easy repositioning of hooks to secure your load wherever needed, making it ideal for managing freight.

Another unique feature of Renown trailers is the seven-inch-wide main side rail. This robust design was made to support heavy loads on the bottom rail. The top rail, which accommodates the sliding winch configuration commonly used today, features a six-inch side rail on the upper deck.

Additionally on the Renown series trailer is a sliding winch track, which is not part of the upper rail. Because it is not part of the upper rail, it can be added to any available side rail configurations, except for the JP Rail.

Airbox
The airbox on this trailer can be positioned in one of two locations. It can be mounted near the landing gear or near the suspension. This placement is customizable and can be specified during the build and configure process online.

Lighting
Truck-Lite supplies all lighting, and several options are available to suit your needs. Because many drop deck trailers are designed to transport wider loads, the ability to identify the width of the load is required. The Renown series trailer provides several different locations for positioning those marker lights. The lights can be pinned into your desired location, and when not in use, they tuck into a protected pocket to shield from road debris.

Landing Gear
The standard landing gear available on the Renown series trailer is the Holland Mark V landing gear. An optional feature to save on weight is the aluminum Jost landing gear with a galvanized insert on the lower leg. This particular option has a five-year maintenance-free leg with a 10-year warranty.

In-Floor Ramps
A highly popular feature is the integrated ramp that lifts directly out of the trailer floor and sits flush when not in use. This design eliminates the need for storing ramps underneath the trailer. To achieve this flush mounting, the crossmembers in this section are lowered by four inches, allowing the ramp to fold seamlessly into the floor. However, it’s important to note that sliding winches cannot be installed in the ramp area, as the lowered crossmembers would interfere with their operation.

Another option with the in-floor ramps is a gas-assisted strut. This enables the operator to be able to lift the ramp from the ground level making it a one-handed operation.

Dunnage Rack
All-new for the Renown series trailer is a fold-down door on the dunnage racks. With this update, once the dunnage rack is loaded, the door folds up, and two pins drop in, containing your load.

Wheel And Suspension Options
There are several different Hendrickson Intraax suspensions.

The Hendrickson TIREMAAX Pro Inflation System is an excellent option for improved tire life. This system ensures all tires remain at a consistent pressure.

This trailer offers several wheel options to suit your needs. The industry standard is a durable steel wheel with either a white or silver finish. Due to their lightweight construction, most customers purchasing combo trailers opt for aluminum wheels. Supplied by Alcoa, these aluminum wheels reduce weight and provide a sleek, polished appearance for your trailer.

Optional Features
Another option is the bolt-on bumper. Should the bumper become damaged, it’s a bolt-on, bolt-off situation, saving time and eliminating the need for welding.

Toolboxes are available in several width and finish options and feature a camlock system that ensures a secure seal to keep moisture out of your box. The doors also open smoothly and come equipped with a high-quality interior seal to keep the contents inside dry. Additionally, the toolboxes have a locking feature for added security.

If you decide not to select the J-hooks, the chain pull-out feature is offered as an alternative. This option allows you to choose the preferred locations for the chain pull-outs while customizing your trailer. It provides a convenient and secure tie-down solution that neatly tucks away when unused.

Beavertail Ramp Options
There are a variety of ramp options to suit your needs. A closed ramp option is also available along with the standard open ramp. The two center ramps are mounted directly into the trailer for those opting for open ramps. An advantage of these ramps is that they sit flush with the deck when folded into the transport position. This design ensures the space can still be utilized as a standard drop deck.
