  • 6400CT Horizontal Grinder debuts at Factory Forum

CBI welcomed customers, dealers, service techs, engineers, and industry professionals from around the world to its 2019 Factory Forum at its facility in Newton, New Hampshire, from September 17-18, 2019.

The event was headlined by a catered live machine show at CBI’s on-site demo arena, where guests had the opportunity to get a first look at the latest innovations from CBI and Terex Ecotec equipment. Technical support workshops were held throughout the event, which was capped off with the annual Golden Grizzly Awards Ceremony.

A big emphasis of the Factory Forum was the workshop circuit, where guests could master their knowledge of CBI horizontal grinders via various themed stations, consisting of personalized instruction in 45-minute bursts taught every hour by CBI Factory Experts. Areas covered included Horizontal Grinder Basics & Setup Instruction, Hydraulic Overview, Bearing Change Walkthrough, Tip & Screen Change Walkthrough, and a Grinder Controls Overview.

Guests then had an opportunity to participate in a question and answer session on new product development, where they could speak with CBI engineers, service techs, and parts specialists and get one-on-one guidance on topics that matter to them.

Day two consisted of a facility tour, where guests got to see first-hand where CBI grinders are designed, built, tested, and supported. This was followed by live machine demonstrations of the CBI and Ecotec product lines, including new horizontal grinders and trommel screens. A highlight was the debut of the new CBI 6400CT cassette style rotor, which particularly impressed the guests when they witnessed steel contaminated railroad ties go through it. The CBI 6400CT Horizontal Grinder is a heavy-duty machine engineered for resiliency when grinding contaminated demolition debris, whole trees, storm debris, slash, and stumps. Manufactured with the most durable components available, this grinder thrives when processing high amounts of tough material. Four interchangeable rotors give this horizontal grinder the versatility needed for today’s changing markets.

The event closed with the 2019 Golden Grizzly Awards Dinner to recognize individuals who executed at the highest level throughout the last year. A New England style dinner was served at the Portsmouth Harbor Events and Conference Center and guests were invited to an afterparty in downtown Portsmouth. Frontline Machinery was awarded Dealer of the Year, Columbus Equipment was awarded the North American Ecotec Dealer of the Year Award, and Huska Holdings was awarded the Community Impact Award.
