    Trash Gurl, a woman-owned recycling and waste disposal company that uses creative marketing to get attention in a mature market, is featured in the ninth episode of Mack’s RoadLife 2.0 series. Trash Gurl currently operates an all-Mack Class 8 fleet, including the Mack Granite roll-off and Mack LR front-end loader trucks.

     


    Founded in 2009 by Melissa and Jeff Polutta, Trash Gurl, based in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, provides commercial, industrial, residential and special waste management services to Charleston, South Carolina’s metropolitan area. Trash Gurl’s signature purple dumpsters and purple bodies on their Mack LR front-end loaders are complemented by the creative company name in bright-colored text. They also feature a cartoon caricature of Melissa and eye-catching sayings, like “we make trash look gud,” that have grabbed attention on social media and helped the company stand out and create buzz around a necessary industry and services that typically remain behind the scenes.
