  • Anniversary Of Broncos Bus Crash

    On April 6, 2020 Premier Jason Kenney issued the following statement to mark the second anniversary of the Humboldt Broncos hockey team bus crash:

    “Two years ago, on a rural highway in Saskatchewan, 16 people were killed and 13 injured when a truck collided with the bus carrying the Humboldt Broncos junior hockey team.

    “So many of us in this sports-loving province and country have climbed aboard a team bus, or waved goodbye as loved ones did the same. The news on April 6, 2018, was the worst imaginable.

    Earlier this week, Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC) President and CEO Derek Nighbor called on the federal government to bring clarity to this issue given the confusing patchwork of measures that are emerging from province to province, negatively impacting certainty for workers and cross-border flows of goods and raw materials.
