  • Construction Industry Veteran George Lumpkins To Retire From KOBELCO USA

    KOBELCO Construction Machinery USA announces that George Lumpkins, General Manager of Marketing, General Service Manager, and Product Developer Manager will retire at the end of May 2020. Lumpkins is an accomplished professional with a 45-year career in the construction equipment business, with over 26 years with KOBELCO.

  • Vancouver Airport Authority Announces Appointment of Tamara Vrooman As President & CEO

    The Board of Directors of Vancouver Airport Authority announced on May 13th the appointment of Tamara Vrooman as President & Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2020. Ms. Vrooman succeeds Craig Richmond who announced in November 2019 that he will be retiring at the end of June after seven years leading the organization that operates Vancouver International Airport (YVR).

  • Mayor Scott Statement On Opening Of Disaster Recovery Program Applications

    On May 11th Mayor Don Scott has provided the following statement with Disaster Recovery Program applications now being accepted by the Government of Alberta: 

    “I strongly urge all flood-impacted residents, businesses and property owners to apply for the Government of Alberta’s Disaster Recovery Program (DRP).

    Last Friday, Premier Kenney and Minister Madu announced that the Province is urgently providing $100 million in DRP funding to our region in support of those that were most impacted by this historic flooding event. Residents can learn more and apply now at alberta.ca.
