  • Launch Of Detroit Connect Remote Updates Begins With Over-The-Air DDEC Performance Report Extraction For The New Freightliner Cascadia

    Fleets with the new Freightliner Cascadia equipped with a Detroit engine will be able to remotely access Detroit Diesel Engine Control (DDEC) performance reports over-the-air via the Detroit Connect portal starting late summer 2017. DDEC reports use diagnostics to analyze driver and vehicle performance. They provide key data such as fuel efficiency information, time spent in top gear, time spent in cruise control and much more. The reports help fleet managers better understand vehicle performance, and allow for insights that will help them improve vehicle fuel efficiency.

  • John Deere Adds Two Models And Offers Additional Updates To G-Series Motor Grader Line-up

    John Deere is adding to its best-in-class G-Series motor grader line-up with the addition of two models — the 620G/GP and 622G/GP. That were on display at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2017, the 620G/GP and 622G/GP are designed for cities, townships and contractors that prefer lighter and more fuel-efficient graders on the job. The Moline-based manufacturer is also adding a dual joystick option on all Grade Pro (GP) models, along with ripper-stow automation, courtesy lighting and an updated high-resolution reverse camera monitor, which are new to all G/GP models.
