  • Saskatchewan's Non-Residential Construction Best In Canada

    Saskatchewan led the country in non-residential construction growth with an increase of 28.4 per cent for the third quarter of 2012 over the same period last year, the highest growth rate among provinces according to Statistics Canada. Saskatchewan’s increase was more than 14 times that of the 2.0 per cent national average. With a total of $467 million in construction, this was Saskatchewan’s best quarter since tracking began in 1997.

  • Delphi's New Tech For Greener Gasoline, Diesel And Hybrids

    Delphi Automotive (NYSE: DLPH) engineers outlined innovative solutions to the emissions challenges facing both gasoline and diesel vehicles in technical papers presented at the 21st Aachen Colloquium (October 8-10). Delphi’s papers described the company’s near production- ready Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) dosing system that provides a uniquely cost-effective approach to urea injection, and a Gasoline Direct Injection Compression Ignition (GDCI) engine that is currently in advanced development. The papers were complemented by extensive hardware displays at the Delphi booth (Upper floor, stand 61) that included a range of new, light-weight power electronics products for hybrid and electric vehicles.
