  • Navistar Announces Champions Of The 2019 Technician Rodeo

    Representing Navistar’s commitment to customer uptime, technicians from Arizona, Ontario, Canada, and Yumbo, Colombia, finished first place within their category at the 2019 Technician Rodeo. The annual competition, which is hosted at the company’s Woodridge, Illinois, product support center, tests the skills and speed of service of its top technicians throughout its dealer network.

    In the thirteenth iteration of the event, Brandon Wesselius of Lewis Motor Sales, Inc., in Owen Sound, Ontario, walked away with the Top Service Technician award for truck, and Nathan Reed of RWC International in Phoenix, Arizona, earned the top award for bus. In the global competition, which brings all the regional winners throughout the Americas together to compete for top bragging rights, Victor Velasco of Navitrans S.A.S. in Yumbo, Colombia finished in first place.

    “We are extremely proud of not only this year’s winners, but of all the technicians who qualified as finalist for our 2019 Technician Rodeo,” said Carlos Junquera, Director of Product Support at Navistar. “Each highly skilled technician perfectly reflects our company’s commitment to technical excellence and the importance of providing the best customer uptime in the industry.”

  • Factory Support For Western Canada

    Tigercat is pleased to announce that Jochen Reiter has been appointed to the position of factory support representative for western Canada.

    Based in Quesnel, British Columbia, Jochen moved to Canada in 2007 from Germany, where he grew up logging with his grandfather and uncle. Jochen is a certified faller supervisor and a Red Seal technician. He has 21 years experience in many aspects of the industry including operating and supervising conventional ground-based and yarding operations.

    “Along with Kushiah McCullough, Damien Donoher and Mark Tourand, I am very excited to add Jochen to the western product support team. We continue to have many new opportunities and applications for Tigercat machines in the west. Having a top-notch support team is critical,” explains Rob Selby, Tigercat district manager, also based in British Columbia.

    CN is marking it's centennial year with a 25-cent coin that connects the past with the present. The unique red and black freight train—it’s a familiar sight on today’s tracks, which wrap around the coin’s rim. While the rail map hints at CN’s legacy, the engraved steam locomotive is a more nostalgic nod to a time when these chugging and whistling engines criss-crossed a young Canada.

    Tidewater Equipment has joined the CASE Construction Equipment dealer network and will represent the manufacturer in 42 counties spanning western and southern Georgia. The dealer will sell and service CASE equipment out of its Tifton, Smithville and Pinehurst locations, serving the landscaping, general construction, forestry and agricultural markets.
