“Our plant designs are scalable and easily expand with a developing customer site,” says Mark Crooks, product manager at Superior Industries. “Producers can quickly expand capabilities as finances allow, application needs change and as their market develops.”

Today, Superior has pre-engineered a series of plant packages and is working to design more for its catalog. Some examples include jaw, cone and impact crushing platforms, horizontal screening platforms with two, three and four deck models, plus a group of traditional washing and modern low water washing platforms.

  • Supporting Alberta’s Agriculture Industry

In response to the mass disruptions in the agriculture industry caused by COVID-19, the Government of Alberta is introducing several new supports to help farmers and ranchers through AgriRecovery.

A new fed cattle set-aside program will allow beef producers to hold on to slaughter-ready cattle on maintenance feed ration for several weeks, allowing the supply of animals to more evenly match demand and reduced processing capacity.

Cattle producers will be compensated for the extraordinary costs until the backed-up inventory is cleared. Currently, there are about 130,000 cattle backed up in feedlots as a result of reduced operating capacity at major beef processing plants in Alberta. This comes at a substantial cost to cattle producers.
