When this used caterpillar wheel loader arrived in yard, MEL had local CAT dealer complete the following:
Strip machine for power washing
CAT TA inspection
Cut open all filters & inspect for contaminates - all clean
Service engine
Inspect magnetic plugs/screens & suction screens
Check oil levels
Inspect oils for discolouration
Check for logged & active codes & repair
Update ECM flash files

Completed the following pressure checks to ensure within OEM spec:
• Engine high & low idle
• Engine high & low oil
• Fuel high & low idle
• Boost
• DPF differential
• Pilot
• Main relief
• Implement standby
• Steering pump standby
• Brake charge
• Service & park brake tests
• Pilot accumulator test

Based on inspection, CAT mechanic completed the following repairs on this CAT 988K wheel loader:
• Resealed engine oil pan
• Resealed right hand starter
• Serviced the emission system as needed
• Repaired leaking transmission relief valve
• Repaired leak from thermostat elbow
• Replaced ECM coolant lines
• Serviced battery connections

The following repairs were completed by Marcel Equipment on this 988K CAT:
Completed our own visual & operational inspections
Replaced wiper knobs
Replace 2 plastic console pieces in cab
Repaired steering control
Replaced plastic pieces around steering control
Replaced EGR water line clamp that was missing
Replaced 2 clamps on overflow tank line that were missing
Replaced 2 rear HID lights
Replaced 2 rear cab work lights
Installed 3rd function lockout switch
Cleaned heater box & pre-cleaner
Replaced washer pumps
Resealed both steering cylinders
Resealed right side lift cylinder
Replaced top rad hoses
Replaced 2 heater taps
Replaced block heater
Completed required cab repairs
Completed misc repairs on machine
