James Western Star (54 listings)
The James family has been invested in the trucking industry for over 46 years. In 1968, after working for International Harvester as an area sales manager for 18 years, Art James opened up his own International Harvester dealership in Kamloops, British Columbia. During the spring of 1986 the James’ decided to enter into the forestry truck sales market, switching brands to Western Star trucks. In 1987, they expanded northward to open a branch in Williams Lake. When the Western Star market area for Prince George became available, Bryan James moved to Prince George opening the second branch location. In the fall of 1989, a big growth year for the company, they expanded into trailer sales, with Superior Logging Trailers for the BC interior. It was 1998 when Bryan James took over as president of the company. Sadly in 2000, the James family lost their patriarch when Art James passed away. With Bryan and Robert overseeing the company, the James brothers continued Art James’ legacy. Today, James Western Star Truck & Trailer Ltd. has over 150 employees serving Northern British Columbia. While the names may have changed over the years, the James family's commitment to customer service, supporting the trucking industry, and maintaining an honest and open attitude towards business has remained constant. James Western Star is dedicated to maintaining its position as a leader in the trucking industry. When you ride with the James Gang, your success is our success!
